Orlando theme parks are closing in anticipation of Tropical Storm Nicole.
Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, and Universal Studios Resort have announced closures and altered hours in light of the upcoming storm, which is scheduled to make landfall as a hurricane on Wednesday evening.
Walt Disney World Resort theme parks will close on Wednesday at 5 p.m. and will remain closed through Thursday morning. Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and EPCOT will all close today at various hours. “WDW theme parks will likely not reopen at their regular scheduled time tomorrow,” reads a statement from the company. Additionally, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will all be temporarily closed on Thursday.
SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will all be closed on Thursday. The parks intend to reopen Friday, November 11.
Universal’s Volcano Bay is currently closed, and Universal Orlando Resort, including CityWalk, will close early on Wednesday. The park says it anticipates a “phased and delayed” reopening on Thursday.
